S. Geological Survey <br />("USGS") entered into a Joint Funding Agreement dated April 20, 1999. <br /> <br />Under the terms of the agreement, the CWCB and the USGS agreed to contribute funds <br />towards the cost of conducting a geo-hydrologic investigation of the Denver Basin <br />aquifers, which will consist of drilling and coring a 2,000 foot research well in the Denver <br />Basin aquifers near Kiowa in the central Denver Basin and conducting analyses, <br />including a geohydrologic analysis, of the core and the core hole, Paragraph 4 specifies <br />that the CWCB will contribute $'12,000 and that the USGS will contribute $6,400 to the <br />cost of the project. <br /> <br />The USGS has indicated that it desires to increase the amount of funds it will contribute <br />to the project by $5,600 for a total of $12,000, The additional funds will be used for <br />conducting additional laboratory analyses and aquifer testing as conditions permit. To <br />document the USGS' additional contribution, please have the appropriate official <br />execute the acknowledgment below and return the original to the CWCB. <br />
