Conlract Encumbrance N'umberC11i'=l1 71, : ;nd <br /> <br />WHEREAS. required :lp]lto\'al. c1eanlllcc and coordinntion has been accomplished from and with appropriate <br />.agenci.es: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, "pursuant to the provisions of 37-60-121(2), CRS 1973, as <br />amended, the Colorado Water Conseryation Board :may allocate to any <br />project constructed by it such amounts as may be determined by it for <br />investigating and inspecting such project, in:, ad~ition to the amount <br />allocated for actual, corts truction; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board has constructed a project for the Town of <br />Rangely, which project, 'according to 'the Town Council, .is not operating <br />~atisfactorily; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board desires to inspect and investiga~e the. operation <br />of said'project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Contractor is a professional engineering firm with <br />specific experience in' the field of municipal water supply systems; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Contractor is an independent Contractor and as such <br />.is no~ entitled to ~ny benefits of the state' personnel system; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, it is hereby agreed that <br /> <br />I. '4That in consideration of the ,payments to be made to' the <br />Contractor by the State as hereinafter 'set forth, the Contractor agrees <br />to perform the following services for the State: <br /> <br />a. Review the design drawings on the Rangely water treat- <br />ment plant (including appurtenances) and the diversion point <br />for said plant from the White River, make field inspections <br />of'said treatment plant and diversion structure, review water <br />quality data of ,the influent an~d effluent, review plant <br />production data. and such other pertinent' data as' may' be ap'pli- <br />cable to the satisfactory operation of the Rangely, municipal <br />water supply system, conduct such plant tests as may be <br />required, discuss any apparent problems'with the Town of <br />
