The City is proceeding as rapidly as possible with
the importation of water from Carter Lake to accomplish the quality improvement. It is
presently estimated that both the pipeline and the treatment plant needed for the improved
quality will be completed for operation in year 2000. It has been assumed, therefore, that the
two customers will not be supplied by the Di/ltrict after 1999, but that they will remain
customers throughout 1999.

Future water use is illustrated on Exhibit NUItlber 6 located at the back of the report. The
future use projection was based on the previcusly cited use of 0.67 acre feet per equivalent
domestic user per year. Past use is also illusuated, both with and without Leprino and Excel,
to verify the consistency of the future projection.

10
