The general plan of development of the San Miguel project as outlined in this report be approved. 2. The San Miguel project be authorized for construction and op- eration by the Secretary of the Interior as a participating project of the Colorado River Storage project in accordance with the Federal recla- mation laws (act of June 17, 1902 [32 Stat. 388J, and acts amendatory thereof and supplementary thereto, particularly the Colorado River Stor- age Project Act of April 11, 1956 ITO Stat. 105]) substantially in accord- ance with the plans set forth in this report, with such modifications of, omissions from, or additions to the works as the Secretary of the Interior may find proper and necessary to carry out the purposes of the project. . 3. The limitations on lands in single ownership which may be eli- gible to receive San Miguel project water be 160 acres of class 1 land or the equivalent of land in other classes as determined by the Secretary of the Interior. 4. Authority be sought for the Secretary of the Interior to acquire by purchase, exchange, or otherwise privately owned lands which, together with public lands, would be divided into family size farm units for set- tlement on the project; to sell, exchange, lease, and otherwise dispose of public or acquired lands and any improvements thereon as farm units or otherwise and to convey title by deed in lieu of patents. 5. Inclusion of developments for recreation and fish and wildlife enhancement in the San Miguel project be contingent on agreements by non- Federal interests to administer project land and water areas for these purposes and to bear a portion of the project costs as provided in Public Law 89-72. . 5
