Secondly, there appears to be no water saving features <br />in this project. <br /> <br />Water Quality <br /> <br />There has been no tests made to show the chemical and <br />physical character of the water flows. The water is soft in using <br />a simple soap test procedure, since suds are very readily developed. <br /> <br />The collected water in the present system is very high in <br />turbidity, has a definite odor and at times a soils taste with <br />a brownish color. It is the intent of this project to remove <br />the turbidity by a sedimentation basin, see Sheet 5 of the attached <br />drawings. In addition, provisions are made to pass the flows <br />through a rapid sand filter followed by chlorination. These steps <br />will be sufficient to eliminate turbidity, odor, taste and <br />bacteria problems existing in the current system.
