However, these costs must ultimately be added
to the total cost of the final alternative selected (see Section 7.0 for
further details on treatment expansion).

Table 4-2 summarizes the supplies utilized for a number of the Plan

Elements. Shown are the actual amounts of water delivered from each source

on an average annual basis. The sources are listed in the order in which

they were utilized. Deliveries from storage were the last supply source

with the exception of the Revised Operating Policy Plan Element, as

discussed below. The values shown represent only the average annual

amounts actually used to satisfy demand.

Also shown in Table 4-2 is the amount of Transfer Decree water which is

spilled (i.e., water which could have been stored if storage space was

available) for the Design Conditions and for a number of Plan Elements

evaluated.

Individual Plan Elements are described below.

4.1 \lATER CONSERVATION

I
I

CDM reviewed available published reports to identify water conservation

strategies and to determine the magnitude of demand reductions that can be

reasonably expected for the City of Loveland. A bibliography of the

reports reviewed is presented in Table 4-3.

I

The strategies identified were categorized according to method of

implementation. Conservation measures which would result in "permanent"

demand reductions were classified as Long-Term Strategies. Measures which

would be implemented only during drought conditions were classified as

Emergency Strategies.

I
I
I
I

Table 4-4 is a summary of projected savings corresponding to the various

water conservation strategies reported in the documents reviewed.

4-4

I
