Board staff approval of bidding for the project. Board <br />staff present at bid opening for construction. <br /> <br />s. project sponsor may issue the notice of award and the <br />notice to proceed with conBtruction to the contractor <br />(both notices must be approved by the Board staff before <br />they are issued). <br /> <br />6. Conduct a pre-construction conference. Approval of <br />construction schedule by Board staff. <br /> <br />7. Construction commences. The Board staff makes periodic <br />inspections during construction. All change orders must <br />be approved by the Board staff in advance and before any <br />construction on change items can commence. Emergency <br />items cleared by telephone. <br /> <br />8. The consulting engineer certifies that the project has <br />been completed according to approved drawings and <br />spec! f ieat ions and arranges for f loal inspect ion. <br /> <br />9. Final inspection and acceptance of as-built project by <br />Board Btaff. <br /> <br />10.
