This
reservoir was initially impounded by two dams known as
Reservoir Nos. 12 and 13. Presently there is only one dam
on the site creating storage. The Basin Map in Appendix F
shows Clark Reservoir and the two reservoirs 12 and 13.
The past history of the structure is somewhat sketchy.
The current reservoir known as Clark Lake was originally
known as Reservoir Nos. 1;! and 13. Originally there were
two dams on the site which impounded the two reservoirs.
The dam and reservoir for Number 12 was silted over and
unofficially abandoned. wnen this took place could not be
ascertained from North Poudre I s records. When the
reservoirs were considered combined and the name changed to
Clark Lake is also unknovm. At some point in time it
appears the State Engineer's Office considered the decreed
storage for Reservoirs 12 and 13 to be combined and assigned
to Clark Lake. It does not appear any legal or formal
action was taken to combine the decrees or assign them to
Clark Lake. The storage records kept by the SEO (see

v
