l'BASE II - TASK 10: EVALUATION OF
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS OF
MULTI-ELEMENT ALTERNATIVES

TASK DESCRII'TION:

The environmental impacts of
alternative will be assessed

TASK OBJECTIVE:

To assess potentially critical environmental issues
for each multi-element alternative.

METHODOLOGY:

The assessment of environmental issues for each Plan
Element, previously performed in Task 5, will be
utilized to identify the impacts associated with each
multi-element alternative. As with the evaluation of
Plan Elements, the environmental issues for which
impacts will be assessed are:

1. Threatened ~nd endangered species

2. Game and non-game terrestrial wildlife

3. Fisheries

The assessment~ will identify potentially critical
environmental impacts, if any, of implementation of
each multi-element alternative. The Issues
Application Matrix described previously in Task 5
will be updated to reflect the three multi-element
alternatives under consideration. The matrix will
provide a means of comparing the alternatives in
terms of environmental issues.
