areas serve as buffer zones as well as access corridors for horse, pedes-
trian and bicycle paths linking various centers of activity.

Major recreational facilities are concentrated in two areas. A community
recreation center and park is located near the school site in the center
of the development, and a large, open area in the Red Canyon floodplain
would serve as a village-wide recreation park.

The construction of recreational facilities will be a gradual process con-
forming to development needs and trends. In addition to the reservoirs,
facilities will include:

- Play lot and mothers' area
- Play area for elementary school age children
- Athletic fields
- Tennis courts
- Paved area for court games
- Community center building
- Swimming Pool
- Stables
- Recreational vehicle storage
- Picnic and playgrounds
- Horse and bike trails
- Landscaping

Two tennis courts, paved area for court garnes, horse and bike trails, and
temporary recreational vehicle storage have been constructed at this time
as well as considerable landscaping provided.

Approximately 19 acres are being provided for the village recreational park
adjacent to the school.

A community center building of approximately 5,000 square feet is needed to
accommodate a social hall, teenage lounge, game room, kitchen, hallways,
storage, display space, sanitary facilities and administrative offices. The
community center building will be located in the community recreation center
near the public school site. A gymnasium, art and crafts rooms, and multi-
purpose rooms are assumed to be a part of the school facilities, and inte-
grated into the total recreational program.

An outdoor swimming pool adjacent to the recreation building is contemplated.
Such a pool would be about 2000 square feet in size. Along side the swimming
pool would be a wading pool about 500 square feet in size. Both pools would
be constructed of reinforced concrete and surrounded by a concrete deck and
six-foot fence. A bath house and concession area are assumed to be integral
parts of the recreation building.

The stable area would contain a 5000 square foot wood frame stable with con-
crete floors in tack and feed rooms, and adequate provisions for lights and
water. Two to three acres would be leveled and fenced for corrals and arena.
