year for a part time superintendent, plus $4,000 per year (1,327 acre-foot diversion multiplied by $3
per acre-foot O&M cost) for a three-quarter interest in the ditch. Converting the $6,500 annual O&M
cost to a present worth cost using a 40-year project life and three percent discount rate, results in a
present worth O&M cost of $150,200.

The cost to lease the estimated 261 acre-feet per year of winter return flow obligations, assuming

$9.20 per acre-foot Southeastern Colorado Water Conservancy District reusable return flow water will

be utilized, is $2,401.20 per year. Converting the annual leased cost of $2,410.20 to a present worth

cost by assuming a 40-year project life and a three percent discount rate, results in a present worth cost

of $55,500.

The total cost of purchasing the three-quarter interest in the Lock Ditch is $2,054,500, and is broken
down as follows:

C. Liston and Love Ditch

The Venezia Family has notified AGUA of its intent to sell its three-quarter interest in the Liston and
Love Ditch. The Liston and Love Ditch was decreed a total amount of 12.42 cfs, of which 8.82 cfs has
Priority No. 14 on Fountain Creek with an appropriation date of March 21,1863 and 3.60 cfs has
Priority No. 33 with an appropriation date of December 31, 1871. These water rights were
adjudicated in EI Paso County District Court on February 15, 1882 in the original adjudication
proceedings for former Water District No.1 O.
