The Woodchuck Ditch Company operates the ditch to supply water to 13 shareholders for <br />irrigation within the 390-acre service area, The ditch has been damaged by a landslide and the Company <br />plans to rehabilitate it prior to the 2000 irrigation season. The average annual volume to be diverted is 975 <br />acre-feet. The Woodchuck Ditch Company is a mutual ditch company and a nonprofit corporation <br />registered in the State of Colorado. Mike DiLuzio, P.E, of the USDA Natural Resources Conservation <br />Service has completed Plans and Specifications for the project. John Van Sciver, P,E" CWCB staff, will <br />complete the feasibility study with help from the Company, the UYWCD, and the NRCS. Proposed funding <br />for the project consists of a CWCB Small Project Loan for $40,000, an Upper'Yampa WCD grant for <br />$40,000, and a USDA NRCS grant for $70,000. <br />r-" .
