VIII-3

Willow Creek. Rock Creek has a flow approximately five times greater than

Willow Creek, and therefore, can sustain the water needs of the Town of Fern-

cl iff.

As pointed out in Section IV, however, it will be necessary for Allenspark
to obtain senior irrigation water rights and transfer them to their municipal
operations. By necessity, this will require the transfer of water resources
from agricultural to municipal use.

The construction of the water project will not inundate or eliminate any pre-

sent wildlife habitat. The noise and confusion of construction will temporarily

disrupt some wildlife habitat in the area, but no long term effects are expected.

The construction activities will also have a temporary intrusion on the relatively

quiet and esthetic setting of the area. This intrusion will be kept at a mini-

mum since only proven and acceptable construction techniques will be employed.

This includes the appropriate erosion control measures, noise control, etc.
