In other words, all the available water had been used during
those years. Other years show substantial flows only when transbasin diversions
are not necessary due to surpluses in the Tongue Creek basin itself, The study of
the water rights reveals that all decrees on Currant Creek are filed under the name
of Dry Creek and that the total decreed amount cannot be met by the basin water
supplies due to over appropriation, For this reason, transbasin diversions to Currant
Creek have been taking place from Surface Creek and Leroux Creek through
Sooner Ditch and Currant Creek Ditch No, 2 respectively,

The Leroux Creek, the next basin east of Currant Creek, was considered a
potential source of surplus water for transfer to Tongue Creek basin. In order to
extend the gaged records for the 19lfl to 1969 period of record of gage 131f5, a
correlation with Station Ilf30 was obtained to generate the steam flows for the

I1I-5
