The diversion and <br />headgate are located on the Roaring Fork River, about 2 miles north of Carbondale. The diversion <br />is in poor condition and in danger of failure, and needs to be rehabilitated in fall 2001. The year <br />2000 volume diverted was 6,600 acre-feet. The Glenwood Irrigatlon Company is a mutual ditch <br />company and a nonprofit corporation registered in the State of Colorado. The Natural <br />Resources Conservation Service has completed preliminary plans and specifications for the <br />project and the feasibility study. Proposed funding for the project consists of a CWCB Small <br />Project Loan for $85,000, a $15,000 in-kind grant from the NRCS for engineering and feasibiiity <br />work, and a $15,000 cash grant from the Colorado River Water Conservation District. <br /> <br />Location Map <br />5 <br />
