Supervised all field and design work for repairs on 75-foot high Gurley <br />Reservoir Dam. The earth embankment is owned by Farmers Water <br />Development Company of Norwood, Colorado. The program evaluated <br />causative mechanisms for sinkholes in the embankment and foundation <br />and requirements for refurbishing and upgrading outlet works. The design <br />included a triple-line foundation grout curtain, relined outlet tunnel and <br />new intake structure and gate. Construction was completed during a four <br />month period following completion of the irrigation season. <br /> <br />. Supervisipn of field investigation. engineering design, preparation of <br />construction documents, and construction monitoring for remedial <br />construction at Buckeye Reservoir Dam in Montrose County, Colorado for <br />the Paradox Valley Water Conservancy District. The remedial work <br />included a slurry wall to reduce embankment seepage, a raised <br />embankment crest to increase storage, a new emergency spillway to meet <br />State of Colorado flood routing and storage standards, and refurbishing <br />the existing outlet works including relining the outlet conduit and replacing <br />the intake control gates and intake structure. <br /> <br />. Conducted field investigations, design analyses, and construction inspection <br />for impoundment expansions for Anaconda Minerals Company in <br />Tonopah, Nevada; Ranchers Exploration and Development in Enterprise, <br />Utah; and Reserve Mining Company in Silver Bay, Minnesota <br /> <br />. Safety evaluation of Fort Cobb Dam (lOO-foot high) in Caddo County, <br />Oklahoma and Arbuckle Dam (ISO-foot high) in Murray County, <br />Oklahoma for the Bureau of Reclamation's SEED (Safety Evaluation of <br /> <br />92D2::!1P/P227 Q6..;:S-Q'2(IO: 17pmI/PRO/S4 <br /> <br />-12. <br />
