<br />3. If this contract involves the payment of more than ten thousand dollars for the construction, erection, repair,
<br />maiutenance, or improvement of any building, road, bridge, viaduct, tunnel, excavation or other public work for this
<br />Slalc, the contractm shall, before cntering upon the performance of any such work included in this contract, duly
<br />execute and deliver to and file with the offi..-:ial whose signature appears below for the State, a good and sufficient
<br />bond or other acceptable surety to be approved by said official in a penal sum not less than one-half of the total
<br />alllount payable by the terms of this contrac!. Such bond shall be duly executed by a qualified corporate surety,
<br />cunditioncd for the ouc and faithful perfonnancc of lhe contract, and in addition, shall provide thaI if the contractor or
<br />his subcontractors fuil (0 duly pay for any labor, materials, team hire, sustenance, provisions, provender or other
<br />supplies u!>Cd or consumed by such contmctor or his subcontnlctor in pefonnance of the work contracted to be dOllC,
<br />the surety will pay the same in an amount not exceeding the sum specified in the bond, together with interest at the
<br />ralc (If eight per celli per annum. Unless such bond, when so required, is executed, delivered and filed, uo claim in

<br />MINIMUM WAGE

<br />4. Except as otherwise provided by law, if this contract provides for the payment of more than five thousand

<br />which the building or other public work is located. Disputes respecting prevailing rates will be resolved as provided in

<br />During Ihe I'erfonnance of this contract, the contractor agrees as follows:
<br />
<br />(I) The conlractor will not db.criminule against any employee or applicant for employmcnt becanse of
<br />race, creed, color, natiOlla.! Origill, sex, marital statu~, religion, ancestry, menta.! or physical handicap, or age.
<br />TIle contractur will take affirmative action 10 insure that applicants are elUllloyed, and that employees arc
