<br />BOND REQUIREMENT
<br />
<br />3. If this contract involves the payment of more than ten thousand dollars for the conslructiun, erectioll,lrepair,
<br />maintenance, or improvement of any building, road, bridge, viaduct, tunnel, exc~vation or other public work for this
<br />State, the contractor shall, before entering upon the perfomlance nf any such II"ork included in this contract, duly
<br />execute and deliver to and file with the official WhOloe signature appears below for the State, a good and ~ufficient
<br />bond or other acceptable surety tl) be approved by l;aid official in a penal stirn not less than one. half of the lolal
<br />amount payable by Ihe terms of this contract. Su,h bond shall be duly executed by a qualified corporate surely,
<br />condilioned for the due and faithful perfonnance of the contract, and in addilion, !ihall provide that if the contractor or
<br />his subcontractors fail to duly pa,. for any lahor, materials, team hire, SUl>tena(lce, provisions, provender or other
