The City of Delta owns 108 of 700 shares in the Granby
Ditch and Reservoir Company. There are four decrees in the Granby
Ditch which has its headgate on Dirty George Creek below Delta's
Dirty George Creek Aqueduct intake. The Granby Ditch diverts water in
Dirty George Creek from the opposite direction of Delta's pipelines
and water under the Granby Ditch decrees has not been available to the
City of Delta in the past. A spokesman for the Granby Ditch and
Reservoir Company indicated that ditch water is only available to
people directly on the ditch.
