The source of the water is: <br /> <br />Sawmill Creek, tributary to the Cache la Poudre River <br /> <br />4. Legal description of the stream segment through which <br />an instream flow is claimed. <br /> <br />The natural stream channel from the headwaters in the <br />vicinity of lat. 40 deg. 34'30"N long. 105 deg. <br />54'58"W as the upstream terminus and extending to the <br />confluence with Joe Wright Creek at lat. 40 deg. <br />34'53"N long. 105 deg. 51' 18"W as the downstream <br />terminus being a distance of approximately 3.5 miles. <br />This segment can be located on the Chambers Lake and <br />Clark Peak U.S.G.S, quadrangle(s). <br /> <br />Administration: For the stream segment(s) in an <br />unsurveyed area, the Division Engineer has determined <br />for administrative purposes that the approximate <br />legal description of the instream flow termini as <br />protracted from U.5.G.S. mapping is as follows: <br />upstream terminus in the SW/4 S.15 T7N R76W 6th P.M.; <br />downstream terminus in the NW/4 S.18 T7N R75W 6th <br />P.M. <br /> <br />5. Use of the water: <br /> <br />Instream flows to preserve the natural environment to <br />a reasonable degree. <br /> <br />6. Date of initiation of appropriation: <br /> <br />December 11, 1987 <br /> <br />7. The water was first applied to the above beneficial <br />use on December 11, 1987 by action of the Colorado Water Conser- <br />vation Board under the provision of C.R.S. 37-92-102(3), <br />37-92-103(3), (4), (10). <br />8. The amount of water claimed is: <br /> <br />4.0 c.f.s. (April 1 through Sept. 30); 2.0 c.f.s. <br />(Oct. 1 through March 31), all absolute. <br /> <br />The Referee rules that this application should be granted <br />
