The legal description of the structure: <br /> <br />The natural stream channel from the confluence with West <br />Chicago Creek at lat. 39041'37" N, long. 105037'01" W as <br />the upstream terminus and extending to the confluence with <br />Clear Creek at lat. 39044'24" N, long. 105031'13" W as the <br />downstream terminus, being a distance of approximately 6.5 <br />miles. This segment can be located on the Idaho Springs <br />U.S.G.S. quadrangle(s). <br /> <br />For administrative purposes only, the Division Engineer has <br />translated these legal descriptions of the stream termini into <br />approximate protracted section, township, and range location from <br />U.S.G.S. mapping as follows: upstream terminus in the NE/4 NE/4 <br />S24 T4S R74W 6th P.M.; downstream terminus in the SE/4 SE/4 S35 <br />T3S R73W 6th P.M. <br /> <br />3. The source of water: <br /> <br />Chicago Creek <br />4. The date of appropriation: <br /> <br />March 13, 1986 <br /> <br />5. The amount of water claimed: <br /> <br />Instream flow of 3.5 c.f.s. absolute. <br /> <br />6. The use of the water: <br /> <br />To maintain such minimum flows as are required to preserve <br />the natural environment to a reasonable degree pursuant to <br />sections 37-92-102 and 103, C.R.S.
