Legal description of the stream segment through which an instream flow is claimed: The natural stream channel from the confluence with an unnamed tributary in the NW/4 NW/4 S18, T1N, R72W 6th P.M. as the upstream terminus and extending to the confluence with Spring GUlch in the SW/4 SE/4 52, T1N, R72W 6th P.M. as the downstream terminus, being a distance of approximately 4.8 miles. This segment can be located on the Ward and Gold Hill U.S.G.S. quadrangles. 5. Use of the water: For instream flows to preserve the natural environment to a reasonable degree. 6. Date of initiation of appropriation: September 5, 1986. 7. The water was first applied to the above stated benefi- cial use on September 5, 1986 by action of the Colorado Water Conservation Board, under the provisions of sections 37-92-102(3), 37-92-103(3), (4), and (10), C.R.S. (1990 Repl. Vol. 15). 8. Amount of water claimed: 1.0 c.f.s. absolute. 9. The Applicant and the St. Vrain & Left Hand Water Con- servancy District have stipulated that the water rights decreed in this case are junior to the operation of the reservoir exchange adjudicated in Case No. 89CW238 in paragraph 5.D of the decree in that case whereby water is released from certain reser- voirs described in paragraph 5.D.2 and stored by exchange in Left Hand Park Reservoir as described in paragraph 5.D.4.b of the de- cree in that case. The stipulation entered into in this case be- tween the Applicant and the St. Vrain & Left Hand Water Conser- vancy District shall not affect the stipulation between the Ap- plicant and the Left Hand Water Supply Company entered into in Case No. 87CW127, Application of the Left Hand Water Supply Com- -2-
