The undersigned water referee, having investigated

the matter of the application on file herein, hereby makes

the following findings and ruling thereon:

1. That the said application concerns walton Creek

located in Routt and Grand County, Colorado, and used for'

suen minimum flows as are required to prase.rye the natural

environment to a' reasonable degree. and the claim for appro-

priation is made under the provisions of C.R.S. 19739

37-92-103(3). (4) and (10).

2. That applicant has furnished acceptable proof

as to claims made.

3. That the said application was filed on December

30. 1977.

4. That the water clerk caused publication of such

fil iog as provided by statute; that the time for fil ing

statements of opposition expired on the last day of February,

1978.

5. That the United States of America filed a state-
