Location: Legal description of the stream <br />segment through which an instream flow is claimed: <br /> <br />The natural stream channel from the con- <br />fluence with Onahu Creek in the SW/4 NE/4 <br />sec. 24 T4N R76W 6th P.M. as the upstream <br />terminus and extending to the headgate of <br />the Redtop Valley Ditch at lat. 40 deg. <br />l5'06"N, long. 105 deg. 52'02"W as the <br />downstream terminus, being a distance of <br />approximately 5.3 miles. This segment can <br />be located on the Grand Lake U.S.G.S. quad- <br />rangle. <br /> <br />Administration: For the stream segment in an <br />unsurveyed area, the Division Engineer has determined for admin- <br />istrative purposes that the approximate legal description of the <br />instream flow terminus as protracted from U.S.G.S. mapping is as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Downstream terminus in the SW/4 NE/4 sec. 2 <br />T3N R76W 6th P.M. <br /> <br />c. (1) Date of initiation of appropriation: Octo- <br /> <br />ber 2, 1987. <br /> <br />(2) Date water was applied to beneficial use: <br />water was first applied to beneficial use on October 2, 1987, <br />pursuant to S 37-92-103(4), C.R.S. (1973). <br /> <br />(3) How appropriation was initiated: By <br />approval of the staff's final recommendations by the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board, at its regular meeting subsequent to <br />requesting and considering recommendations from the Division of <br />Wildlife and the Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation, among <br />other things. <br /> <br />d. Amount of water claimed: Instream flow of 18.0 <br />c.f.s. (May 1 through September 30); 10.0 c.f.s.
