Legal description of the stream segment through which an instream flow is

The natural s1;ream channel from the confluence of an unnamed tributary at
latitude 390 02' 04''N and longitude 106020' 10"W as the upstream terminus and
extending to the confluence of the Arkansas River in the SE SW, Sec. 31, Tll S,
R79W, 6th PM as the downstream terminus, being a distance of approximately
4.4 miles. This segment can be located on the Granite U.S.G.s. quadrangle.

For the stream segments in an unsurveyed area, the Division Engineer has
determined for administrative purposes that the approximate legal description of
the instream flow termini as protracted from U.S.G.S. and/or U.S.F.S.. mapping
is as follows: upstream terminus in the NW NE, Sec. 4, Tl2S, R80W, 6th P.M.,
at a point 4000 feet from the soutl;1 section line and 2200 feet from the east
section line.

Instream flow to preserve the natural environment to a reasonable. degree.

6. Date of initiation of appropriation:

January 29, 1998.
