The source of the water is: <br /> <br />Currant Creek, tributary to the Arkansas River. <br /> <br />4. Legal description of the strea~ segment through which <br />an instream flow is claimed. <br /> <br />The natural stream channel from the conflu- <br />ence of Cottonwood Creek at latitude <br />38031'17"N and longitude 105023'57"W as the <br />upstream terminus and extending to the con- <br />fluence of Tallahassee Creek at latitude <br />38029'44"N and longitude 105024'16"W as the <br />downstream terminus, being a distance of <br />approximately 2.6 miles. This segment can be <br />located on the Gribble Mountain and McIntyre <br />U.S.G.S. quadrangles and is depicted on Ex- <br />hibit A. <br /> <br />For the stream segments in an unsurveyed <br />area, the Division Engineer has determined <br />for administrative purposes that the approxi- <br />mate legal description of the instream flow <br />termini as protracted from U.S.G.S. and/or <br />U.S.F.S. mapping is as follows: upstream <br />terminus in the NE/4 SW/4, Sec 36, TI7S, <br />R72W, 6th P.M.; downstream terminus in the <br />SE/4 NE/4, Sec 11, TI8S, R72W, 6th P.M. <br /> <br />5. Use of the water: <br /> <br />Instream flow to preserve the natural environment to a <br />reasonable degree. <br /> <br />6. Date of initiation of appropriation: <br /> <br />November 6, 1995. <br /> <br />7. The water was first applied to the above beneficial use <br />on November 6, 1995, by action of the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board under the provision of C.R.S. !l!i. 37-92-102 (3), <br />37-92-103 (3); (4), (10). <br /> <br />8.
