The legal description of the structure: <br /> <br />The natural stream channel from the confluence with Miller <br />Fork at latitude 40027'34" North longitude 105024'56" West <br />as the upstream terminus and extending to the confluence <br />with the Big Thompson River at latitude 40025'56" North <br />longitude 1050 20'18" West as the downstream terminus, <br />being a distance of approximately 5.3 miles. This segment <br />can be located on the Glen Haven and Drake U.S.G.S. <br />quadrangles. <br /> <br />For administrative purposes only, the Division Engineer has <br />translated these legal descriptions of the stream termini into <br />approximate protracted section, township, and range location from <br />U.S,G.S. mapping as follows: upstream terminus in the SE/4, NW/4, <br />Sec 25, T6N, R72W, 6th P.M.; downstream terminus in the NE/4, <br />NW/4, Sec. 3, T5N, R71W, 6th P.M. <br /> <br />3. The source of water: <br /> <br />North Fork Big Thompson River <br />4, The date of appropriation: <br /> <br />November 14, 1989 <br /> <br />5. The amount of water claimed: <br /> <br />8.0 c.f.s. (April 1 - October 31); 3.5 c.f.s. (November 1 - <br />March 31) <br /> <br />6, The use of the water: <br /> <br />To maintain such minimum flows as are required to preserve <br />the natural environment to a reasonable degree pursuant to <br />sections 37-92-102 and 103, C.R.S. (1973 & 1989 Supp.).
