The legal description of the structure: <br /> <br />The natural stream channel from headwaters in the vicinity <br />of lat. 390 41'37"N, long. 1050 55'42"W as the upstream <br />terminus and extending to the diversion in the SW/4 NW/4, <br />sec. 4, T5S, R77W, 6th P.M. as the downstream terminus, <br />being a distance of approximately 6.9 miles. This segment <br />can be located on the Dillon and Loveland Pass U.S.G.S. <br />quadrangle(s). <br /> <br />For administrative purposes only, the Division Engineer has <br />translated these legal descriptions of the stream termini into <br />approximate protracted section, township, and range location from <br />U.S.G.S. mapping as follows: upstream terminus in the NW/4 NW/4, <br />sec. 20, T4S, R76W, 6th P.M., more specifically at a point whence <br />the SW corner of said township bears N23 OOE a distance of 15,600 <br />ft. <br /> <br />3. The source of water: <br /> <br />Straight Creek <br />4. The date of appropriation: <br />November 8, 1985 <br /> <br />5. The amount of water claimed: <br /> <br />Instream flow of 2.5 c.f.s. absolute. <br /> <br />6. The use of the water: <br /> <br />To maintain such minimum flows as are required to preserve <br />the natural environment to a reasonable degree pursuant to <br />sections 37-92-102 and 103, C.R.S. (1973 & 1987 Supp.). No <br />diversion of the water right herein will be made from the <br />natural stream channel. <br /> <br />7. The applicant shall install and maintain such measur- <br />ing devices and maintain such records as the Division Engineer <br />may require for administration of this right. <br /> <br />8. The priority herein awarded, said Straight Creek in- <br />stream flow, was filed in the water court in the year of 1985 and <br /> <br />-2- <br />
