Fish and
Wildlife Service, the CWCB formally requests that the Colorado Division of Parks and Outdoor
Recreation make a release of 2000 acre feet of water from Steamboat Lake. Consistent with Mr.
Maddux's request, the eWCB requests that this release be made at a rate of 40 cfs beginning on, or
around, September 10, 1998, and that the released water be administered to, and through, occupied
habitat from the confluence of the Yampa River and Elkhead Creek to Dinosaur National Monument.

~; ~

"-,,,',,--

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
