The Master Plan focuses on drainage and flood control concerns in order to model existing
physical parameters. A stormwater quality master plan is premature given the status of the
National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System application process, the negotiations on
the off-site water management alternative called Option B and the Colorado Water Quality
Control Commission's classification and standards hearing on Big Dry Creek.

WATER OUALITY

MANAGEMENT OPTIONS

The Master Plan concludes by describing the potential drainage and flood control
management options for the off-site, Buffer Zone and Core Area locations of the Rocky
Flats Plant study area. These options are designed to:

. Reduce or eliminate the probability that area flood water will enter the plant
site;

. Ensure that stormwater management facilities on the plant site are adequate
to conveyor store runoff for the design storm events; and

Inhibit runoff from leaving the plant site.
