This sewer system was analyzed using the Bernoulli
Equation and computing the maximum allowable hydraulic grade
line and discharge through the system without surcharging
any inlets. The capacity varied from approximately 100 cfs
at Windermere Street to SOcfs at Powers Park. The storm sewer
on the South Tributary was installed in many segments varying
from a 42-inch concrete pipe to an l8-inch metal pipe. This
storm sewer system has limited capacity in the segment at the
intersection of Powers Avenue and Windermere Street. The
system capacity is approximately 60 cfs at this point. Limi-
tations include, inadequate pipe slope, insufficient surface
inlets and insufficient ponding depths.

The calculated sewer capacities were subtracted from the total
computed flows used to calculate the flood plain through these
reaches.

For the major flood
are insignificant.
year flood plain is

flows, these existing structure
The effect of each structure on
very minor.

capacities
the 100-

Flood plain reference data for the existing 100-year flood
plain, on Slaughterhouse Gulch is included in Table IV.
