<br />WHEREAS ,the Colorado \AlaterConservation 3oard, as
<br />requested by the Board of County Conimissionersof Larimer County,
<br />by resolution adopted June 3, 1970,' approved and designated the
<br />floodplains described in the May, 1970. report; and '

<br />WHEREAS, said report describes and ,outlines, the floodplain
<br />data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels
<br />or basins of the study areas; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Town of Wellington has req:uestedthe'Colorado
<br />Water Conservation Board to designate and approve the floodplain
<br />areas asset forth in the aforesaid report; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1),' Colorado Revised Statutes
<br />1973, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in
<br />the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, Colorado
<br />Revised Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of
<br />local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land ,uses
<br />,on or along ,any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only
<br />after designation and approval by the" Colorado Water Conserv,ation
<br />Board; and ' ,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1) (c) , Colorado Revised
<br />Statutes 1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to
<br />designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or
<br />basins and to make such designations available to legislative
<br />bodies of local jurisdictions; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said revised
<br />information and data and does hereby recommend to the Colorado
<br />Water Conservation Board that the 130ard designate and approve as
<br />
