Except for the <br />Neuse River at Smithfield, C. perfringens densities did <br />not change substantially as floodwaters receded. <br /> <br />These floodwater densities of E. coli and <br />C. perfringens are some of the first such data collected <br />for either indicator species in North Carolina.
