Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, completed in December 1971, Flood Plain Information Report, Big Thompson River, Loveland, Colorado; and WHEREAS, said Flood Plain Information Report outlines and describes the flood water runoff channel on the Big Thompson River in the vicinity of Loveland, Colorado; and WHEREAS, Article 149-1-11(4), Colorado Revised Statutes 196'3, requires that the COlorado Water Conservation Board designate and approve storm or flood water runoff channels and to make such designation available to legislative bodies .of local jurisdictions; and WHEREAS. Article 139-60-1, Colorado Revised S.tatutes 1963, provides that such cities, towns, incorporated areas, and local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for any storm or flood water runoff channel only after designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and ~lliEREAS, the City of Loveland, Colorado has requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and approve the flood hazard areas as set forth in the aforesaid U. S. Corps of Engineers Flood Plain Information Report; and WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said Flood Plain Information Report and does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation Board that said Board designate and approve as flood hazard areas those areas set forth in the report as being . subject to an intermediate regional flood; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conservation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado ___thi s-10th-day-of--May-,--19-7-2-i-that-it-dcre-s-h-exeby Clesignate and-' . . approve as flood hazard areas those areas described as being in- undated by an intermediate regional flood as set forth in the Flood Plain Information Report for the Big Thompson River, Loveland, , Colorado, dated December 1971; and
