Box 580
Fort Collins, CO 80522

Reference: Susan Hayes
(303) 221,6589

Project Information

Ayres Associates developed a master drainageway plan for an 11-mile
reach of the Cache la Poudre River corridor through the City of Fort
Collins. The study investigated floodplain and floodway limits, channel
bed and bank stability problems, The project also included preliminary
design of environmentally sensitive measures to correct flooding and
channel stability problems.

The project was coordinated with numerous agencies who have
competing uses for the drainageway corridor, In addition to traditional
engineering problems, the plan had to encompass environmental
protection of riparian areas, provisions for recreational trails, provisions
for historic preservation, and development of cultural resources through
the most urbanized reaches.

Ayres Associates' Staff

Dave Frick, P,E.,
Scott Queen, P,E"

Project Manager
Project Enginel,r
