TemperatUl'e.- Temperatures within the subbasin vary con- <br />siderably. Monument 2 WSW (elev. 7,400 feet) has an average mean daily <br />maximum temperature of 60.4 degrees. Las Animas 1 N (elev. 3,892 feet) <br />has an average mean daily maximum temperature of 70.7 degrees. The maxi- <br />mum recorded temperature at Monument 2 WSW is 100 degrees and that for <br />Las Animas is 114 degrees. Tables 5 and 6 contain temperature data for <br />Las Animas 1 N and Monument 2 WSW. . <br /> <br />16.8 inches. The average annual snowfall <br />Monthly and annual snowfall data for <br />4. Snow survey cOUrses are shown on <br /> <br />2-(5. Humidity.- The subbasin is characterized by low relative <br />humidity. The nearest station for which data on relative humidity are <br />available is Pueblo Memorial Airport (elev. 4,684 feet) about 72 miles <br />WNW of Las Animas. These records are considered indicative of the Las <br />Animas area and are summarized in table 7. <br /> <br />2-06. Evaporation.- Evaporation data for the warmer months at <br />John Martin Dam and Reservoi~ (elev. 3,814 feet) are given in table 8. <br /> <br />2-01. Wind.- The nearest station that records wind data is Pueblo <br />Memorial Airport.
