Feds'~urge -vietims '
, to seek flood aid

More than 800~eople in flood-stricken
areas of Coloraao have' applied'for feder-
al or state disaster assistance, the Feder-
al -Emergency Management Agency re-
, ported Sunday.
FEMA took more than 60 workers into
areas in Fort Colllns~- Sterling and other
towns, soliciting victims to file for federal'
emergency aid. Workers went door-to-
door through the flooded areas explaining
the program and t1~e application process.
"We're trying to encourage_everyone to
apply for aid, regardless 'of how small
your loss might have been," said case

'The floods affected an estimate.a 1,000
homes and 200 businesses in'Fort Collins
