Water stored in the ponds in the area of
the golf course may be utilized for irrigation
of the golf course, as water hazards as a part
of the facility or simply as part of a blue/
green area adjacent to the entrance road.

VI. Master Drainage Plan

I

The Master Drainage Plan is illustrated on the Storm
Drainage Jnalysis Map. The map indicates the boundaries of
drainage basins, the locations of major drainageways, the
locations and approximate sizes of major street crossing culverts,
the location ard approximate sizes of potential detention ponds,
and the peak rate of runoff to be expected at various points
from a lOO-year storm occurrence. The drainage basin boundaries,
drainage channels, and runoff rates are characteristic of the
final fully developed plan as indicated on the P.D.D. submittal.

I
I
I
I
II

Culvert sizes shown on the Storm Drainage Analysis Map
are approximate and should be verified at the time of final de-
sign. The sizes have been estimated for passing the lOO-year
flood with a ratio of the headwater depth to culvert size of
1. 0 to 1. 5 .

The apprcximate volume of storm water to be detained at
the proposed detention pond sites has been estimated from com-
parisons of the runoff hydrographs at each site before and after
development. Each pond must be finally sized and shaped at the
time of final design to assure compatibility with the adjoining
land uses and street configurations.

I

VII Summary - Local Drainage Study

I

1. The local drainage study reveals that there are no
significant drainage problems which would preclude development
of the Battlement. Ilesa area.

I
I
I
I
I

2. The development should be planned t.o reserve space
for drainage courses across the sit.e as indicated on t.he
Storm Drainage ~nalysis Map.

3.
