Because of existing confusion, with respect to the Cherry <br /> <br /> <br />Creek Project, and to the end that suitable policies and proper legisla- <br /> <br /> <br />tion may be adopted without undue delay. it is suggested that the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Boardl <br /> <br /> <br />(1) By a series of meetings with irrigation interests on <br /> <br /> <br />Cherry Creek and with representatives and officials of the Reclamation <br /> <br /> <br />Bureau, attempt to reconcile conflicts, without litigation. and attempt <br /> <br /> <br />to secure revisicns in the project plans of the Bureau, so that the <br /> <br /> <br />project rights may confonn with and be administerable under the Colorado <br /> <br /> <br />statutes and laws; <br /> <br /> <br />(2) Arrange a meeting with the Hater Resources Comi ttee <br /> <br /> <br />of the National Resources Planning Board, or with its sub-committee on <br /> <br /> <br />National Hater POlicies, to the end that the views of federal departments, <br /> <br /> <br />including War, Interior and Agriculture, and the views of the State of <br /> <br /> <br />Colorado and of the City of Denver. with respect to flood control on <br /> <br /> <br />Cherry Creek, may be expressed and considered; and to the end that a <br /> <br />preliminary statement of such Committee may become available under WhiCh. <br />the flood control plans and legislation to authorize the same, may be <br />revised. if and to the extent necessary. <br /> <br />-29'- <br />
