" <br /> <br />/, <br />;. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Roadway and Bridge Design <br /> <br />The roadway grade and elevations do not consider the maximum <br />outlet or spillway releases which are 8500 cfs and 182,000 cfs. <br />With passage of H. B. 1052 in 1984, Chatfield Dam can legally <br />release up to 40,000 cfs + which is the historical lOa-year <br />discharge at Chatfield Dam. <br /> <br />Roadway Alignment <br /> <br />It would appear that the northern alignment would have the <br />lesser wildlife and riparian impacts to the park. <br /> <br />Bridge Design <br /> <br />It would appear that the hydraulic conveyance should be <br />increased. No comment on the structural design. <br /> <br />Roadway Design <br /> <br />I would recommend that the 1.4 mile roadway extension should <br />not have any turn-outs or parking areas adjacent to the road. <br />The construction of ~8 foot high wildlife and wild-human fencing <br />should be a project requirement. <br /> <br />Should you have any additional concerns or questions, I will <br />have to investigate. <br /> <br />/bvm <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />-2- <br /> <br />October 3, 1985 <br />
