The culverts shown are corrugated metal pipes with thin-edge projecting inlets. <br />Each failure is rather unique but seems to be related. Remember that the chief <br />engineer will be meeting with the governor shortly. <br /> <br />Within the next twenty minutes, review the attached photographs, background material, <br />and <br /> <br />1. Establish the cause(s) of the failure. <br /> <br />2. Develop a way to prevent such failures in the future. <br /> <br />3. Select a spokesperson to summarize your findings to the "Chief Engineer." <br /> <br />5-9 <br />
