<br />FINDINGS <br /> <br />The Board staff finds that this project meets the Board ~:tandards for a flood control <br />project. The Board staff recommends that the floodplain areas described in this Report be <br />recognized as the 1 DO-year floodplain for Holly arid the floodplain be considered for designation <br />and approval by the Board. <br /> <br />Recommendations are: <br /> <br />a) Designate and approve that there is no :lOa-year floodplain within the corporate limits <br />of the Town of Holly and unincorporated Prowers COlmty areas east and north of the left bank <br />levee along Wild Horse Creek and the Arkansas River as shown in this Report and as described <br />in the section titled "POST-PROJECT FLOODED AREAS"; <br /> <br />b) Rescind the portions of previous Board designations (indexed as resolution numbers <br />40 and 59) that included the 1 DO-year floodplain lying east and north of the left bank levee along <br />Wild Horse Creek and the Arkansas River as shown in this Report and as described in the section <br />titled "POST-PROJECT FLOODED AREAS"; <br /> <br />c) Designate and approve that the previous IOO-year floodplain designations numbered 40 <br />and 59, remain in effect for the unincorporated Prowers County areas west and south of the levee <br />along Wild Horse Creek and the Arkansas River and east of the floodplain boundary at elevation <br />3384.8 feet (MSL) as previously described in the section titled "POST-PROJECT FLOODED <br />AREAS"; <br /> <br />d) Rescind the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, January 16, 1976, <br />Flood Hazard Boundary Map for the Town of Holly. <br /> <br />The Board's designation and approval action V\~ll not require any changes in the Town's <br />t100dplain management program and will not affect the status of tbe May 20, 1983 rescission by <br />the Federal Emergency Management Agency of the January 16, 1976, Flood Hazard Boundary <br />Map. <br /> <br />12 <br />
