<br />STEP 7 <br /> <br />CONDUCT SITE VISIT <br /> <br />The local floodplain administrator performs: the following: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Confirm whether the site falls into the Zone A on tbe <br />map <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />During the visit, compare the site with the site plan <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Familiarize yourself witb the site <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Take note of the stream alignment in the site (to be used <br />in locating cross-sections) <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Take note of topographi<: and hydrauliG features such as, <br />steep streambanks, road crossings, culverts, etc, <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Take note of soils and vegetative cover that might affect <br />on-site drainage (also look for evidenc'~ of historic <br />flooding) <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Detelmine, to the extent possible, if th,~ site is in or <br />out of the IOO-year floodplain, hTespe:ctive of the <br />Zone A designation <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Understand which part of the site will be developed and <br />the location of that area relative to the stream <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Find out from the applicant if there are to be new <br />hydraulic features which would be a part of the <br />development and where they will be located 011 the site <br />
