<br />400 CONCRETE <br /> <br />All Portland Cement concrete shall conform to the most recent provisions of <br />ASTM specification for ready-mixed concrete (C-94), and shall conform to the <br />following conditions: <br /> <br />A. Shall have a minimum twenty-ei9ht (28) day compressive strength of <br />3,750 psi. <br /> <br />B. At least six (6) bags of Type II cercent shall be used in each cubic <br />yard of concrete. <br /> <br />C. Concrete shall contain aggregrates which conform to ASTM specification <br />C-33 and meet gradation designations under Table II of that specification <br />for Size No. 67 (3/4 inch nominal size;. <br /> <br />500 TIMBERS <br /> <br />The timber material shall be 6" x 8" pressure treated, wolmanized and aged <br />timbers. <br /> <br />600 REINFORCING STEEL AND MISCELLANEOUS METALS <br /> <br />Scope <br /> <br />The Contractor shall furnish and place all the reinforcing bars and <br />miscellaneous metals required for completion of the work. The provisions of <br />Section 400, CONCRETE, are applicable. <br /> <br />Ma te ria 1 s <br /> <br />Reinforcing steel shall be new, deformed billet steel, meeting ,~STM A-61S <br />Grade 60 for bars #5 and larger; ASTM A,.61S Grade 40 for #4 bars and smaller. <br /> <br />Mill test reports shall accompany reinforcirg bar shipments to be retained <br />at the job site certifying the grade of steel supplied. Bar marking <br />designations shall be furnished so that bar's of each grade can be readily <br />identified. When materials are specified on the Drawings, but are not <br />specifically defined herein by detailed specifications, the Contractor shall <br />fu rn i sh hi gh-cl ass commerc ia 1 grades 0 l' ma ter'ia 1 s or al"ticl es. <br /> <br />Drawings and Data by Contractor <br /> <br />Bar placing diagrams, bar lists and bar-bending diagrams which the Contractor <br />may require to facil itate the fabrication and placement of reinforcing steel <br />shall be provided by the Contractor. The Contractor shall subm'it to the <br />Engineer three (3) copies of each shop dr'awings prepared by him for the <br />Engineer's review and approval. Another COpy shall be submitted to the <br />Project Manager at the job site for information and record purposes. Such <br />shop drawings shall be submitted at least thirty (30) days before the <br />materials indicated thereon are to be needed, or earlier if required to <br />prevent delay of the work. <br />
