Dear Mr. Sparks:

This letter is to request formal action by the Colorado Water Conservation
Board concerning certain streams in Boulder, as directed by the City Council
to th i s off i ce .

We have completed the master planning and flood plain definition on the basis
of 100 year storm for all streams within the City, except a portion of
Boulder Creek from 28th Street to the mouth of Boulder Canyon. This stream
is presently being updated by the Corpsof Engineers and will complete the
flood plaining for all streams coursing the present city.

The reports and drawings on the following streams have been submi tted. earl ier
to Mr. Stan Miller, of your office.

The requested streams are:

The primary purpose behind the request for the Water Conservation Board to
approve and designate the floods plains on these streams at this time is to
expedite the eligibility of those areas,within the flood plain,for flood plain
insurance and to implement flood plain adoption and designation by our local
agencies, where applicable. .
