<br />Regional detention is nO! feasible from the flood control and peak flow reduction
<br />standpoints. The storage behind man-made embankments (roadways and ponds), in
<br />combination with tile floodplain overbank storage is providing a sufficient amount of
<br />long.term stonnwater storage in the basin(s). Onsite detention fOf new commercial or
<br />residential areas within the Town of Monument is desirable from the localized erosion
<br />and water quality control viewpoints. Onsite detention and its effoct upon peak
<br />discharges in Dirty Woman or Crystal creeks is nOl significant.
<br />2. Feasible channel section alternatives for the mainstcm of Dirty Woman and Crystal
<br />creeks range from the floodplain preservation, or "do nothing" alternate to selective
<br />riprap bank linings. The feasibility ofchanneliution concepts decreases within the I,Ipper
