<br />FPR 95-396 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />721 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />March 13, 1995 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Floodplain Information Report, North Fork <br />of the Republican River, Town ofWray and Ywna County, Colorado" dated November 1981 has been <br />prepared by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested by the City of Wray and <br />Ywna County, Colorado, by Resolution No. 192, adopted on August 16,1982, designated and approved <br />the floodplains described in said report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, Ywna County, <br />Colorado, Unincorporated" dated December 1984 has been prepared by the Federal Emergency <br />Management Agency ; and <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report includes detailed floodplain information for the North Fork' of the <br />Republican River within unincorporated Ywna County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the detailed floodplain information in said report dated December 1984 is consistent <br />with the detailed floodplain information in the report previously designated by Resolution No. 192; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ywna County, Colorado, has requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to <br />designate and approve the floodplains set forth in said report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, requires the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to assist in the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised Statutes, provide that <br />legislative bodies of local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along any <br />storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation and approval by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, directs the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to make <br />such designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the information in the report dated December 1984 meets all of the requirements <br />for detailed information listed under the Board's "Rules and Regulations for the Designation and <br />Approval of Floodplains and of Storm or Floodwater Runoff Channels in Colorado" (2 CCR 408-1); <br />
