1

3

Based on the data we have at this time, we do not agree that the submitted discharge values along Box Elder
Creek represent the base flood more accurately than those used to develop the effective FIRMs.

Before we can revise the effective FIRMs to reflect the submitted discharge values along Box Elder Creek,
we must receive documentation demonstrating that the submitted discharge values are superior to those used
to develop the FIRMs and those determined by the regional regression equation. Such documentation must
describe in detail the reasons that the discharges along Box Elder Creek used to develop the FIRMs and those
determined by the regional regression equation are in error. If such documentation becomes available, you
may request that we make a fina1 detennination on revising the effective FIRMs and FIS reports by submitting
the documentation along with all applicable data required under Part 65 of the NFIP regulations.

If you have any questions regarding floodplain management regulations for your commullily or the NFIP in
general, please contact the Consultation Coordination Officer (CCO) for your community~ Information on
the CCO for your community may be obtained by contacting the Director, Mitigation Division of FEMA in
Denver, Colorado, at (303) 235-4830.
