POTENTIAL FLOOD DAMAGES

The existing threshold flood for Cherry Creek Dam is 63 percent of the

PMF, A flood that is greater than 63 percent of the PMF does not meet freeboard

requirements and threatens the safety of the dam.

Assuming dam failure for floods greater than the threshold flood, damages
downstream from Cherry Creek Lake Dam would be $2,880,000,000 for 75 percent of
the PMF and $2,980,000,000 for 100 percent of the PMF.

Damages on Sand and Toll Gate Creeks beg:ln at approximately 50 percent of

the PMF, Damages for 50, 75, and 100 percent of the PMF are $75,000,000,

$123,000,000, and $150,000,000, respectively.

Table 10 presents the potential flood damages downstream of Cherry Creek Dam

and the damages on Sand and Toll Gate Creeks,

The damages upstream of Cherry Creek Darn tot.al $36,400,000 at the pool. level
where the embankment is overtopped.
