~
~

Hl'}R QUAL:lFICA TIONS
____111_. .. _ _. __...,_ .11~

An opportunity exists for integration of GIS aspects into the project. Bruce Rindahl is a highly
regarded user of GIS applications, and his knowledge and experience will be quite useful in this
project. As an option, systems are in place to apply GIS to this project in a time..effective and cost--
effective manner. Bruce previously worked for Mark Matulik of CWCB in the application for a
hazard mitigation grant for the Pueblo flood waming system.

In fact, these flood-techniques could ultimately be used for the affected areas from this event, and
may help mitigate future damages. In this case, our firm would be in a good position to help you
apply for money for the project.

Mary Kay offers a number of other experiences which we feel knd more strength to the project
Before working at HDR, she worked at the USGS in Lincoln, Nebraska at one time. Therefore, she
is not only familiar with the kind of work that they do, but she is also familiar with their procedures,
This will make the interface between the consultant and the USGS easier to manage.

HDR has the necessary qualifications to exceed your expectations on this project. The team has a
strong background in investigatory work with oth<~r projects. Team memb,:rs have extensive
backgrounds in water resources and flood control. We have experience with CWCB and USGS. In
addition, we have recently increased staff in our water resoul'(:es section in order to meet the
demanding schedules of our clients.

1999 Flood DOCIJmentation Report
!-IDR Engim~ering, inc.

<5(CPlo-..,
(ii."'!"
(::\".8~-'j':~':
"\\1!""->,,,,t/.
~~H'I-Y
